How to: Format a control in a form.
Solution:
In Form Design view, click to select the desired control, select the 'View' menu and select 'Properties'. Then, click the 'Format' tab and make the desired entries and selections.
1) If the Database window is not activated, activate the Database window.
2) Click the 'Forms' tab in the Database window.

3) Select the desired form from the list box. (The selected form is highlighted.)
4) Click 'Design'. (The selected form appears in the Design view and the floating Toolbox appears.)
5) Click to select the desired control to format. (Handles appear around the control.)
NOTE: Each control must be selected individually, i.e., if the selected control has an attached label, the attached label will not be selected to edit.

6) Select the 'View' menu and select 'Properties'. (The property sheet appears.)
7) Click the 'Format' tab.

8) Make the desired entries and selections in the Property boxes of the 'Format' tab.

9) To close the property sheet, click the 'X' in the upper-right hand corner of the property sheet.

NOTE: The properties will be saved only when the design view is saved.
